Reconstruction works finished in heating plant "Novi Beograd"

- In heating plant "Novi Beograd", which supplies over 100,000 households with heating energy, the works on reconstruction and modernization of pre-pumping unit, worth about 100m RSD, have been finished - "Beogradske elektrane" announced.

It is stated in the announcement that, within the scope of preparation of all units for the commencement of new heating season, the experts from "Beogradske elektrane" and company "Kirka-Suri", which built that unit, tested the modernized system on August 29 and 30.

Reconstruction and modernization of that pre-pumping circulation unit will enable more economic, safer and more reliable work of the whole heating plant already in the forthcoming heating season.

Also, that unit will create conditions for undisturbed connection of the largest hot-water boiler in Southeast Europe, which is under construction in heating plant "Novi Beograd", to the production and distributive system at the beginning of heating season 2010/2011.

Once new hot-water boiler of 140 MW is put in operation, technological improvement and modernization of heating plant "Novi Beograd" will be finished.

After that, the preconditions will be created for connection of large number of new users in New Belgrade, Zemun, Savski Venac, and Vračar to the network, as well as for expansion of hot water network towards Prokop and Senjak.
