The construction of a multifunctional hall within the Institute for Sport and Sport Medicine of the Republic of Serbia has started, and the funds have been set aside from the budget of the Republic of Serbia.
The multifunctional hall for various sports
will be built on 3.36 ha, and the total value of the investment is EUR 12 million. The facility is being built as an extension of the National Training Center in Kosutnjak, and its exterior and features will make it unique in the region, the Institute says on its website.
The project entails the construction of a hall for wrestling, judo, taekwondo, karate, archery, weightlifting and sport climbing. The plan also includes a gym, a court for tournaments and ball sports, but also a section for relaxation. The completion of the works is expected for early 2021.
Let us remind that, in late May 2019, an agreement was signed between the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the Institute for Sport and Sport Medicine and W.D. Concord West, the construction company which will execute the works.
