VUCIC: Considerable increase of salaries and pensions to be made in 2019

This year, salaries and pensions will be raised considerably, stated Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, noting that this seemed to be the issue that interested citizens the most.

– This is certain. The budget is in a good state, the growth will be good too and there will be no problems there – Vucic said on TV Prva.

When it comes to the opening of the highway through Grdelica and the police’s warnings to drivers not to take selfies in the tunnel, the president said that he understood these warnings, but also joked that he might take a selfie there himself, being so proud of this project. He repeated that the opening of the Obrenovac-Cacak section on Corridor 11 was expected in under a month.

Slightly later, in late August, the eastern leg of Corridor 10, to Bulgaria, should open, so the entire route from Nis to Gradina will be covered by a highway, Vucic said and added that Bulgaria should complete its part, from the border to Sofia, in a year and a half.

Vucic added that the construction of the Morava Corridor was expected to start in two months.
