It is likely that trucks carrying beef from the Srem Sid meatpacking plant will head for Turkey once again in late June, RTV reports.

The company hopes for this, and the possibility was hinted at by Serbian Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic.

Let us remind that the agreement that Nedimovic signed with his Turkish colleague, Bekir Pakdemirli, under which the export of beef should increase by 40% in 2019, comes into effect on June 1.

– With the subsidies the state provides for livestock breeding and the announcement that new negotiations about a further increase of quotas and expansion of cooperation in the agrarian sector with Turkey will follow in mid-2019, this is a new opportunity for our producers – the minister said.
