The works on the planning of the Belgrade subway are slowly developing, as shown by the Public Procurement Plan of the Secretariat for Public Transport for 2019, adopted on April 16.

In addition to the already opened tenders for the preparation of an environmental impact study for the corridor of the two planned subway lines and the preparation of a geotechnical study for the PUE Belgrade Subway and Train, the plan also includes a contest for designing the subway stops. As the document says, the tendering should start by the end of May, and a proposition of what the subway stops might look like should be available in late 2019. A sum of RSD 16.6 million has been set aside for this purpose.

The most expensive item related to the subway is the preparation of a feasibility study with a preliminary design for the PUE Belgrade Subway and Train, which costs RSD 840 million (around EUR 7 million), and according to the documentation, it should be completed by the end of 2020.
