Total of 703.4m EUR worth of subsidized loans granted

The Ministry of Economy of Serbia announced today (August 6, 2009) that business banks had approved 703.4m EUR worth of subsidized loans to the date.

Total of 613m EUR worth of liquidity loans, 2.2m EUR worth of investment loans and about 18m EUR worth of consumer loans had been paid prior to August 4th through the Government's programme of measures for alleviation of effects of the global economic crisis.

The banks have, so far, received requests for about 1.07 billion EUR worth of loans, about 926.8m EUR of which is the value of requested liquidity loans, 28.8m EUR is the value of requested investment loans, while the value of requested consumer loans amounts to about 93.5m EUR.

Enterprises have got 6,971 loans for liquidity, 5,687 of which, worth about 126.7m EUR, have been granted to small enterprises.

Mid-sized enterprises have been granted 836 loans worth 181.6m EUR, while large enterprises have got 348 liquidity loans worth 302m EUR.

Total of 5,913 loans worth about 40.4m EUR have been approved for procurement of automobiles, while 11,150 loans worth about 20.4m EUR have been granted to purchase of other consumer goods produced in Serbia.

The largest amounts of loans have been approved by Banca Intesa - 211m EUR, Komercijalna banka - about 101.2m EUR, UniCredit Bank - 82.3m EUR, Societe Generale - 47.7m EUR, and ProCredit Bank - 46.3m EUR.
