Former Hotel Dunav in Vukovar sold – Swiss buyer announced construction of new 4-star hotel
– This is a strategically important piece of property in Vukovar, the former Hotel Dunav building, which has caused a lot of interest – Penava said and pointed out that the facility is located in the very valuable area of the confluence of the Vuka and the Danube, but also that it is a facility that has been out of operation for nine years, Poslovni Dnevnik reports.
He added that the city had bought the property due to the fact that the hotel had not been operational for a long time in order to sell it to the company from the hotel business, which has already founded its branch in Vukovar, and that the city would do everything in its power to make the investor feel welcome with an investment which is strategic and on the state level.
Deputy Mayor Marijan Pavlicek reminded that the city had bought the facility for HRK 10.3 million, asked for HRK 10.7 million for it at the public sale contest, and that the Swiss company had offered HRK 11.3 million, paying the deposit of 10% of the asking price, in line with the terms of the contest.
Djordjic has announced the construction of a 4-star hotel with around 120 rooms, that is, 240 beds, as well as several restaurants, offices and a multimedia space, in which around HRK 200 million will be invested. The hotel should open in 2023.
