According to estimates, around 94% of the contracted works have been finished so far on the bridge on the Sava and the Kolubara on the Surcin-Obrenovac section of the E-763 highway on Corridor 11, and around 1.5 meters remain to be connected.

The bridge, which is being built by China Communications Construction Company, is 1,581 meters long and 29 meters wide. The span between the columns is 275 meters.

The works began on May 5, 2017, and, under the contract, the entire 17.6-km Surcin-Obrenovac section should be completed by January 5, 2020.

The works on the section are worth USD 233.67 million. The PE Roads of Serbia is the investor and the works are financed by the Government of Serbia.

The highway should have four main lanes and two pullouts, of the total width of 29 meters.

The section is divided into five sectors. In addition to the construction of the bridge, it entails an overpass across the Ostruznica-Batajnica railway, as well as two interchanges.

The Surcin-Obrenovac highway will enable the connecting of Corridors 11 and 10 through the bypass route around Belgrade at the Surcin interchange.
