German Embassy: No entry to Schengen countries for people with old passports starting October 1st, 2009
Concerning the fact that the authorized organs of Republic of Serbia and Republic of Montenegro announced that old (blue) passports (with words "Federal Republic of Yugoslavia" written on the cover) would not be valid any more starting from December 31, 2009, and since the passports must be valid for minimum three months longer than the granted visa, German Embassy to Belgrade points out that the people with aforementioned passports will not be able to enter the Schengen countries starting from October 1st, 2009.
If somebody has valid Schengen visa in old (blue) passport, he or she can show it along with the new biometric passport and use it for travels to the Schengen countries.
From now on, the Embassy of Germany to Belgrade will be issuing visas that expire on October 1st, 2010, exclusively to those people who own new biometric passports issued by Republic of Serbia or Republic of Montenegro. Most Important News
