"Sojaprotein" expects 945m RSD worth of profit in 2009

Bečej-based soybean-processing company "Sojaprotein" expects 15.2 billion RSD worth of business incomes in 2009 and net profit of 945.3m RSD.

That is 132.2% more than in 2008. Business incomes that the company plans to achieve amount to 1.76 billion RSD, but the net result is significantly reduced because of the large financial expenditures that will reach the level of 1.3 billion RSD during this year.

At the end of the second quarter of this year, company "Sojaprotein" registered business incomes of 800m RSD, while the net profit amounted to 162.5m RSD.

During the first three months of year 2009, Bečej-based company registered net losses worth 425.9m RSD because of, first of all, large financial expenses, which was also the main reason why "Sojaprotein" announced public additional capitalization that was successfully completed during May.

Of all major stockholders, the right on priority in purchase of stocks during public additional capitalization, when the price of stocks amounted to 851 RSD, was used only by "Victoria group", which has become the majority owner of "Sojaprotein" with the share of 58.6%.
