A unique congress on renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, which will also act as a sailing tournament, will be held in Sibenik from May 8 through 11, the organizers announced.
The European Energy and Environment Cup and Congress 2019 is organized by the Business Sailing Experience Agency (BSEA) and with the support of the European Federation of Agencies and Regions for Energy and the Environment (FEDARENE) and the Energy Community.
The main topic is energy transition, and this is the first time that the event is organized in Croatia. The sailing crews will consist of participants in the congress, experts, policy-makers and business leaders.
The participants come from EU institutions, technology leaders such as Google Global Infrastructure, leading European ESCO companies, financial institutions, leading European, regional and local energy agencies, research and science communities, such as the Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies, and many others.
The list of participants includes the director of the Energy Community, Janez Kopac, the president of FEDARENE, Julije Domac, the vice president of the European Investment Bank, Vazil Hudak, and other experts from the fields of energy, representatives of the business community, public personalities and members of the EU parliament.
The congress aims for the participants to exchange knowledge and experience and provide possibilities for an enhanced networking and project consolidation, all to the end of achieving energy transition.
