German "Leoni" to sign contracts with 80 workers of privatized "Fiaz"
German company "Leoni", which bought Prokuplje-based factory "Fiaz" few months ago, will sign contracts with first 80 workers prior to the end of July - the Director General of company "Leoni", Peter Prohaska, told "Beta".
He pointed out that 70 workers would travel to Slovakia in mid-August to receive training because "Leoni" had the factory of automobile cables in that country.
Prohaska expressed satisfaction with the fact that the contract had been signed with the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development on stimuli for creation of new jobs, based on which "Leoni" had obtained 5,000 EUR per worker.
Cleaning and decontamination of the factory grounds of "Fiaz" are in progress. "Fiaz" was using azbestos in production, for which the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning provided 30m RSD.
Based on the contract with the Ministry of Economy, "Leoni" is obliged to employ 1,300 people in Prokuplje and to invest 15m EUR in production that should commence before the New Year.
