Preparatory works for the construction of TurkStream begin in Serbia – Permits to be issued by end-April

Serbia has started carrying out preparatory works for the construction of the TurkStream pipeline through the country, and the building permits will be issued by the end of the month, said Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.

After a session of the Serbian and the Hungarian governments, she said at a press conference in Subotica that the issuing of the building permits was to be followed by the official start of the works on the construction of the Serbian section of TurkStream.


– We have already started the preparatory works. By the end of the month, we will issue the building permits for the first two section – Ana Brnabic said.

The pipeline will go from the Bulgarian border to the Hungarian border and be 403 kilometers long.
