Serbia, B&H and Montenegro to offer joint tourist product – Active tourism for transoceanic countries

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro will offer a joint tourist product to transoceanic countries. The product was presented at the 2019 Mostar International Economic Fair this Thursday.

The joint tourist project entails active tourism in locations in all three countries. The project was initiated in February at the tourism fair in Belgrade between the chambers of commerce and the chamber system in B&H.

– The three countries involved in the project will be seen as a single travel destination, which will offer adventure tourism, ethno tourism, gastronomy and cultural tourism, nature, everything these three countries have at the moment – said the president of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marko Santic.

The secretary for tourism at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Tijana Maljkovic, said that distant markets, that is, transoceanic destinations, require a partnership of at least three countries.

– The plan is to define the destinations in each country together with the local partners, following which the tours should be promoted at fairs in 2020 – she said.

She emphasized that the offer will cover various travel destinations and locations, such as galleries, museums, hotel chains with four or five stars, accommodation capacities in rural areas, eco households, local hospitality facilities...

Mirko Boskovic, an associate of the Group for Tourism at the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that he hoped that this project would present all the most important travel destinations in the right way.
