Autoceste Federacije B&H has picked the consortium of Azvirt (Azerbaijan) and Hering (Siroki Brijeg), for the construction of the Vranduk-Ponirak section on Corridor 5C near Zenica, with a total length of 5.2 kilometers, Dnevni Avaz learns.

The information has been confirmed by Autoceste FB&H to Dnevni Avaz, BiznisInfo reports.

The construction of this section is financed through the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), and the construction should take 24 months.

The agreement with Azvirt and Hering will be signed in the upcoming days so that the construction could start as soon as possible.

Other candidates were Euro-Asfalt from B&H and Strabag from Austria, as well as the Turkish companies Cengiz Insaat and Kolin Insaat.
