Serbian Environment Minister Goran Trivan and Greek Alternate Environment Minister Sokratis Famellos signed a memorandum of cooperation today in Belgrade by which they agreed an exchange of experiences, specialized knowledge and experts in this area and study visits. They thereby also formed the basis for gatherings about innovations in the environmental protection sector.

– Greece is very experienced as an EU country in affairs concerning the environment and they are fully prepared to share experiences with adapting to EU standards in this field – Trivan said and added that the state policies in Serbia and Greece regarding environmental protection were identical.

The memorandum defines fields such as circular green economy, waste water processing, environmental protection and protected goods.

Famellos said that representatives of 20 companies from Greece which operate in this field would visit Belgrade on Friday and have meetings with their colleagues from Serbia.
