Atlantic Grupa has opened a new logistics-distribution center near Velika Gorica, worth around EUR 20 million, the company announced.

The new facility covers the total storage capacities of Atlantic Grupa in the Zagreb area and is the central logistics center for the Croatian market, the company points out, as reported by Hina.

– The investment in the construction and the equipping, worth around EUR 20 million, has been realized in cooperation with the strategic partner, the company Kamgrad, within only seven months – Atlantic Grupa emphasizes.

Storage capacity of 30,000 pallet spaces was secured in the first phase, and the facility also allows for additional modular expansion.

An interesting feature of the new logistics-distribution center is the pilot project of cooperation with the Croatian robotics company Gideon Brothers, that is, the project of testing the first commercial product of this technological company – an autonomous logistics robot.

The prototype is self-driving and has a load carrying capacity of 800 kilograms. The first robots will start their test run on April 15, Atlantic Grupa announces.
