AI and robotics lab opens at Novi Sad School of Business
On this occasion, the secretary for higher education and scientific research activities, Zoran Milosevic, stated that the country needed to follow the fourth industrial revolution, namely, digitization in the economy, but also modern study programs based on internationalization and a strong connection with the economy, the Government of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina announced.
– If the economy is digitized, it stands to reason that the education process will take on such characteristics as well. The opening of the laboratory is a big step forward, because it shows the synergy of the economy on the one hand and of the higher education on the other, but also of the research and development initiatives, as it links practice and higher education much more strongly – Milosevic said.
The laboratory has been formed with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, within the Higher Education Development project. The purpose of the lab is to enable students and researchers at the school to learn about modern technologies and research in the fields of AI, robotics, 3D printing and the internet, as important components of the new wave of the industrial revolution.
The lab is the backbone of the Novi Sad School of Business’s innovative study program Applied Informatics. Students who apply for this program will have the opportunity to take part in project-oriented practical tasks, which will simulate work at companies, with the help and mentorship of professors and experts.
