On February 27, Adient formally became the owner of 4.3 hectares of undeveloped building land in the Industrial Zone Sepak when the agreement on the terms of giving the parcel for free was signed by the mayor of Loznica, Vidoje Petrovic, and the company’s representative Bojan Rajic.

Let us remind that the pertinent decision was made by the members of the Town Assembly on February 10, after the Government of Serbia approved the draft agreement.

– Adient has already obtained the location requirements, and the next step is to issue the building permit. We expect the foundation stone to be laid in several weeks and the construction to be completed by the end of the year – Mayor Petrovic said after signing the agreement.

He reminded that the American-Belgian company already employed 380 people from Loznica and that they would employ another 700 before the end of the year. Once it starts operating at full capacity, in the next five years, the number of employees should reach 1,500.

Adient will be producing car seat covers at its facilities in Loznica. In a later phase, it will also start producing seats for prominent car manufacturers.

The value of the investment is EUR 20 million.
