Serbian food at Dubai show
The CCIS and the Development Agency of Serbia traditionally organize the visit of a delegation of producers from Serbia to Dubai. Serbia's stand at the Sheikh Saeed Hall features Zdravo Organic, Master Fruits, PIK Becej, Bahus, PIK Juzni Banat, ITN Group, PIP Novi Sad, Nectar, Benlian Food, Mundorama, Bernstein doo, Damar Confit and Sirana Jovanovic.
Gulfood visitors will be introduced to a wide range of Serbian products – from juices, through rice and corn bars, rice gruel, jams, energy drinks, fresh Serbian truffles and truffle products, to ajvar, fruit, vegetables, tortillas and top-quality cheeses.
The Truffles Co. Ltd, Tisacoop LTD, BMD, Agranela, Agropartner and Mirotin Tisa are attending the fair as guests.
Ambassador of Serbia to the UAE Stanimir Vukicevic has visited Serbia's stand and talked to company representatives about the possibilities of exporting the products to the UAE and beyond.
Considering that the UAE imports over 80% of food products, 50% of which are re-exported to the Persian Gulf countries and eastern Africa, entering the UAE market means a long-term securing of business operations.
Last year's presentation of companies from Serbia, also organized by the CCIS and the DAS, was also successful – exporting jobs worth over EUR 2 million were contracted, and representatives of Serbian companies held more than 430 bilateral meetings with potential partners from the UAE, other countries of the Middle East and other states interested in importing food from Serbia.
The biggest interest in Serbian products was shown by potential partners from Dubai, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Canada, Kenya, India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, China and South Korea.
