ITM Group has doubled the processing capacities of its cold storage plant "Apatin" by investing 2m EUR from its own sources and the funds obtained from the Republic and Provincial development funds in reconstruction of the units of this cold storage plant for production of frozen vegetables.

The processing capacities have been enlarged from 5,000 tons to 10,000 tons of frozen vegetables a year, and reconstruction works were carried out on the units for production of strategic frozen vegetables: peas and string beans.

According to the people from the company, Dutch company FTON has installed the new reception basket, hydro-transport and new blancher. The tunnel with the capacity of five tons per hour is the work of Swedish company "Frigoscandia". There are also three new compressors (Johnson Controls) and two condensers (Baltimore), which make the state-of-the-arts ammonia unit.

Everything mentioned above is included in the existing units, while modern motor pool is completed with pea combine "Ploeger" of the latest generation, with the capacity of 15 ha a day. People from the company point out that these new units in cold storage plant "Apatin" represent a respond to the growing demands of their frozen food brand "Yupik", as well as to the needs of service packaging for their partners "Delta Agrar", "Frikom" and "Podravka".
