Spanish studio Fenwick Iribarren Architects wins architectural design contest for Sava Square

The City of Belgrade has published the results of the architectural contest for the area of the Sava Square and the square on the corner of Karadjordjeva and Travnicka streets. A total of 25 works had been submitted before the deadline.

The jury awarded the first prize of EUR 50,000 to the team of the Spanish studio Fenwick Iribarren Architects from Madrid.

The second prize of EUR 15,000 went to the Slovenian company Medprostor d.o.o. Ljubljana.


The third prize of EUR 10,000 went to the team of the American company SWA Group California, which had prepared the project in cooperation with the Center for Urban Development Planning of Belgrade.

Two designs were bought out for EUR 5,000 each, namely, those by Arhitektura ARSA Novi Pazar and In Site, a division of KEO International Consultants from Abu Dhabi.
