City of Kragujevac granted 22,000 USD for co-investment in design of feasibility study for Airport "Lađevci"

The Mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanović, said that the City Council of Kragujevac had granted 22,000 USD for co-investment in designing of economic-traffic feasibility study for Airport "Lađevci", which is situated between Kragujevac, Kraljevo and Čačak.

- The decision that Kragujevac enters the project for financing of the feasibility study for Airport "Lađevci" has been made because we have estimated that Šumadija needs a business-civilian airport of that capacity - said Stevanović.

The economic-traffic feasibility study for Airport "Lađevci", which costs 178,000 USD, is financed by the US Government organization USAID with 85,000 USD, and, besides Kragujevac, the funds have also been set aside by the other regional municipalities.

After all technical conditions are provided at military airport "Lađevci", civil transportation can be established as well, which would be of great importance to local economy and tourism.
