The Belgrade Land Development Public Agency has opened a public procurement procedure for the preparation of the detailed regulation plan for golf courses and other sports features in the southern part of Pinosava, a settlement at the foot of Avala.

The Agency presented this project two years ago as one of the most important ones, and the realization has begun now. According to the technical documentation, a geodetic survey needs to be done and a digital topographic plan needs to be prepared. According to earlier announcements, these sports courts would take up around 55 hectares. The plan is to build adequate infrastructure with the accompanying facilities of around 15,000 square meters.

– A city such as Belgrade deserves more than one golf course – the Belgrade Golf Club says. – With the construction of the new golf course, Belgrade will attract a larger number of tourists which visit destinations with golf courses. This will make us recognizable and attractive for other investments.

So far, golfers in the capital of Serbia have been able to use the courses in Ada Ciganlija. Two years ago, there was a plan to move these courses from Ada Ciganlija to Borca, as per the detailed regulation plan for the Makis area, but it has since been abandoned.
