Accommodation capacities in Belgrade full – Most foreign tourists coming from Turkey and China
– Tourists from Bulgaria are not the most numerous ones, that’s only a joke – he told Beta.
According to him, the latest data show that the Chinese are the second most numerous tourists in Belgrade, both in the number of arrivals and the number of overnight stays, followed by tourists from Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
– The fact that the Chinese are in the second place is interesting. In 2017, there barely got in the top ten, and now they are nearly at the top – Popovic said.
He added that the number of American tourists in Serbia was higher by 15% compared to 2017.
According to him, in the January-November period, the growth in the number of arrivals of foreign tourists was 13%, and the number of overnight stays increased by 15%.
– The year 2017 was also a record-setting year, but we surpassed those results as early as October 2018. There are now also more tourists from Germany, Israel and Russia – Popovic said.
