Number of tourists in January-November period higher by 11.6% than last year

From January till November, 2018, there were nearly 3.2 million tourists in Serbia, which is 11.6% more than in the same period in 2017, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced.

The growth in the number of local and foreign tourists amounts to 8.7% and 14.7% respectively.

There were 3,196,178 tourists in that period in Serbia, of which 1,606,534 local ones and 1,589,644 foreign ones.

The increase in overnight stays in that period is 12.6%. The number of overnight stays made by local tourists grew by 10.8%, whereas the increase in overnight stays made by foreign tourists is 15.6%.

The total number of overnight stays in the period amounts to 8,766,397, of which 5,369,081 were made by local tourists and 3,397,316 by foreign ones.
