Registration of business subjects in five days - unique software solution by company "ComTrade"

Within the scope of IT manifestation "Knowledge Factory", the system developed by company "ComTrade" for the Business Registry Agency (BRA) was presented in the premises of the company on May 14th. This system enables registration of companies by the shortened procedure that lasts for 5 days. It utilizes the system of registration of business subjects under the name of "One stopshop". The same procedure used to last for about 50 days.

Starting May 6th, by submitting unique registration forms for founding of business subjects and registration with the Tax Payers Registry, the citizens will be able to get the decision about registration of the business subject and tax identification number (PIB) at one window in the Agency.

That is made possible thanks to the electronic communication between BRA and the Tax Administration, the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund and the Republic Medical Insurance Institute.

- This system has simplified and lowered the price of registration process for both local entrepreneurs and foreign investors. We want to set an example for other agencies as well. We have been sticking to EU standards since the beginning, and we are applying experiences of the other countries, primarily, Ireland - said Branislav Dobrosavljević, CEO of the Business Registry Agency.

According to his words, the first phase of the one-window system has been completed. The second phase is now in progress and it includes other institutions that directly cooperate with the Agency, as well as expansion of international cooperation. The possibility of complete electronic registration can be expected in the third phase.

- The client who wants to register a business organization must first fulfill the application form at the window in the Agency or electronically. The Agency starts processing the data 24 hours after the reception of the form, then it forwards them to the Tax Administration that process the data in 24 hours and grants the tax identification number. The data are then sent to both Republic Medical Insurance Institute and Pension and Disability Insurance Fund. If the client does not receive the decision in five days, the decision is considered as positive. If the decision is negative, the client will receive it by mail - Marija Mihajlović explained.
