Unsuccessful tender for collective farm "Dragan Marković"
- Tender for sale of Obrenovac-based agricultural company "Dragan Marković" has been declared as unsuccessful because there were no interested buyers - the Privatization Agency announced on May 15th.
According to the announcement, the tender dossier was bought by company "Žitoprodukt" from Zrenjanin, but it did not submit the offer prior to the extended deadline, which expired on December 12th.
Agricultural company "Dragan Marković" was sold in 2003 to the consortium of companies "Midlands resorts", "Nicko agrar" and "Astra simit" for 82m RSD, but the contract was cancelled after the employees went on strike because the buyer did not fulfill contractual obligations.
The company had more than 500 workers at that time, but that number was cut in half at the end of the last year, while the losses amounted to 129m RSD.
