(Illustration) The Turkish company Tasyapi, with whose representative the contract was signed in mid-December at the Government of Serbia, will be the contractor in the project of the construction of 376 apartments in Nis and Vranje meant for security force members – military, police and the Security-Information Agency, Juzne Vesti reports.

Recently founded state companies, the Ministry of Construction says, will be investors in this project.

As the ministry clarified, the contracts signed with the Turkish company, which will design and build a section of the Belgrade-Sarajevo highway as well, pertain to the construction of the apartments in southern Serbia.

A total of 190 apartments will be built in Nis, whereas Vranje will get 186 apartments, the Ministry of Construction says.

Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mehmet Turhan, who attended the signing of the agreement at the Government of Serbia, said that Tasyapi was one of their best companies.

Although the Government of Serbia founded special companies for this purpose in mid-November, one of them in Vranje, these companies will not be the builders. The ministry explains that they will in fact be investors.

Let us remind that the first phase entails the construction of four buildings in Vranje and two in Nis.
