World-famous restaurant chain “Vapiano” to open facility in Serbia – investment worth 2.2m EUR

World-famous restaurant chain "Vapiano" is going to open its facility in Belgrade, in shopping center "Ušće", in mid-May. The new place for lovers of the Mediterranean cuisine will employ nearly sixty workers, while the investment in the Belgrade-based restaurant amounts to 2.2m EUR. According to the company’s plan, another ten “Vapiano” restaurants should be opened on the territory of former Yugoslavia (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina) during the next three years, and total of 23m EUR will be set aside for that purpose.

- Young personnel represent the most important resource in every company. "Vapiano" has gathered the team of enthusiasts, experts for various works in catering business, who will be fulfilling the wishes of our guests – said Branimir Lalić, partner and co-owner of "Vapiano" franchise.

- "Vapiano" will hire 750 workers in six countries in the region prior to year 2012. These people will have the opportunity to complete the training according to "Vapiano" standards – said Saša Trišić, partner and co-owner of "Vapiano" franchise.

"Vapiano" restaurants are characterized by groceries that are always fresh and used for making of continental Italian dishes. In the pleasant ambience, on the top floor of shopping center "Ušće", guests of the restaurant will be able to choose between various pastas, pizzas made of selected ingredients and fresh salads. Guests will also be able to watch the process of making of dishes with olive oil, as well as to choose sauces and spice herbs they want in their meal. It takes up to five minutes for a dish to be ready.

With the innovative approach to the preparation of food and the new concept of service, "Vapiano" changes classical principle of restaurant business in the world, which is also proved by the awards this company has won so far: the award for "hottest new concept" in the USA, the award for the best Mediterannean restaurant in Hungary two years in a row, as well as numerous recognitions in the countries where "Vapiano" is present. "Vapiano" concept will be present in Serbia in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš.

The concept of "Vapiano" restaurants was established in Hamburg, Germany, in 2002, and it was invented by Kent Hahne, an American of German origin. After he was fed up with the job in fast food industry, he launched "Vapiano" concept and the sales franchises all around the world. The chain now consists of 53 restaurants in Europe, America and Near East. The company plans to open about 100 restaurants a year at global level.
