In the first nine months of the current year, Serbia was visited by 77,543 tourists from China, which is 103% more than in the same period last year, and the number of their overnight stays jumped by 94% to 134,852, announced the Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS).

The director of the TOS, Marija Labovic, stated for Chinese media that China was one of Serbia's most important strategic partners and that the cooperation with the countries of the region and the rest of Europe was very important for attracting tourists from China, the number of which has grown considerably in the past two years.

The TOS points out that it will continue its promotion of Serbia's tourism in China.

– With the support of the European Travel Commission, Serbia made a presentation and promotional events in China together with the Danube Competence Center and the national tourism organizations of Hungary and Germany, in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai. A large number of the most important representatives of the economy and the media from those cities attended those events – the TOS says in its press release.

They add that the travel offer of the participating countries and the Danube as a connection between them would be very attractive for the Chinese.

It was announced that the TOS would unify the travel offer presentation of Serbia at a Shanghai travel show, held between November 16 and 18.
