The project of the construction of the Pancevo-Timisoara highway has the political supports of both Romania and Serbia, Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila stated in Varna.

She pointed out that the project could be executed in the near future.

– Technically, we have already scheduled the confirmation of the project and the preparation of the feasibility study – Dancila said at the joint press conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Furthermore, Dancila emphasized that the trade between Romania and Serbia had constantly grown in the preceding years.

– The excellent bilateral relations we have with Serbia – we will soon mark 140 years from the establishment of diplomatic relations – are best reflected in trade, which has been growing constantly in the past years – she said.

She also expressed her conviction that the upward trend would continue, given the potentials of both economies.

– We are optimistically awaiting the year 2021, when Timisoara and Novi Sad will be European culture capitals, which will give us an opportunity to promote some joint projects – the Romanian prime minister said.
