As part of the program which aims to provide children with better studying conditions, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development has opened an international call for bids for the modernization of 33 schools in the territory of Serbia.

Through the school modernization program, carried out by the Project Implementation Unit, 109 schools in Serbia have so far been adapted, reconstructed or extended.

The procurement procedure is divided into lots and covers 33 schools in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

The school modernization program is financed with the proceeds from the loan of the European Investment Bank in the amount of 50% of the total value of the project, whereas the remaining 50% is funded by the Republic of Serbia, that is, local self-governments, through infrastructural investments.

The call for bids was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), issue OJ S 207 of October 26, 2018, at the Portal of Public Procurement Procedures of the Republic of Serbia, at the Procuring Entity’s webpage and the webpage of the Project Implementation Unit of Belgrade.
