To the end of considering the potential cooperation between the Maize Research Institute Zemun Polje and interested companies from the agri-industrial sector of the Russian Republic of Chechnya, the institute was visited on October 19, 2018, by a Chechen economic delegation, headed by Minister of Agriculture M. M. Dadayev, with the help of the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.

The guests were presented with achievements in maize cultivation and they also visited the Institute's seed production center.

The Chechen delegation expressed an interest in cultivating ZP maize hybrids, considering the very good reputation of these products in the Russian Republics of the northern Caucasus.

It was agreed for the next meeting of the two sides to be held in Russia and to have the plan of cooperation for 2019 defined on that occasion, the institute's official website reports.
