Delta Holding is largest economic entity in Serbia
Ranked second is Novi Sad-based meat producer Matijevic, which had 41 subsidiaries, one of which operated abroad.
Within the Belgrade-based MK Group, 32 subsidiaries and affiliated legal entities operated, of which three operated abroad.
A large number of consolidated legal entities in 2017 was also recorded by the economic entities I&F McCANN Group based in Belgrade (30), Koefik based in Belgrade (27 subsidiary legal entities), MPZ – Agrar based in Belgrade (27) and MK Holding based in Belgrade (26).
As APR announced, in the economy of Serbia in 2017, 649 economic entities operated, and the consolidated financial statements were processed for 641 entities, in which parent companies had control over 1,939 subsidiaries and affiliated legal entities.
Although there were Three economic entities more operating compared to 2016 and the number of subsidiary and affiliated legal entities increased by 26, the number of employees in those entities was reduced by 2,941 to 298,925 employees in total.
The overall income of the economic entities in 2017 stood at RSD 3,502 billion, a 1,5% increase compared to 2016 while expenses dropped by 1.6% to RSD 3,257 billion.
Net profit generated amounted to RSD 210 billion a 88.4 % increase compared to 2016. Net profit was reported by 537 economic entities whereas 104 entities reported loss.
