Hedera Vita Loznica starts exporting to Russia
As Loznicke Novosti reports, after three-month negotiations, Hedera’s natural cosmetics first penetrated the Moscow market. The Russians looked for a company which produces natural cosmetics in Serbia and can meet the needs of their very demanding market and were pointed to Loznica and Hedera Vita. They tested the products and made sure that they would be accepted in the Russian market.
– Our sales were concentrated in Serbia, the countries of the region and some EU countries, so we didn’t consider Russia. A new purchaser from Czech Republic arrived and we also started exporting to the Netherlands and we were working on expanding the range of products we were exporting to those markets when the Russians surprised us. Our idea was to start out with a smaller range of products, but they couldn’t decide what to order first and then decided to take everything. For now, 80% of our products will be sold, in Moscow initially, and the remaining 20% need to be further analyzed and registered due to Russian regulations. This is a big step forward, we didn’t expect it to happen so soon, we had to respond to such a good offer – Olgica Samoilovic, owner and director of Hedera Vita, explains and adds that special New Year’s sets are being prepared for the Moscow market.
The beginning of the cooperation with the Russians lead to a stop in the development of new products for a short time, but did influence the expansion of the production, because a big market demands larger quantities of goods, and the export of products to the countries the company already exports to mustn’t be jeopardized. Furthermore, Hedera continues working for German trademarks as well, formerly one, now three, and new inquests are coming as well, Loznicke Novosti reports.
