MALI: Commission for capital investments in Serbia to be formed in 2019 and set priorities
Mali talked with World Bank Country Director for the Western Balkans Linda Van Gelder about the projects currently being carried out in cooperation with the World Bank, as well as the plans for future cooperation.
He emphasized the importance of cooperation with the World Bank and said that 12 active projects were being carried out in cooperation with that financial institutions at the moment, worth USD 1.8 billion.
The Ministry of Finance, he said, has four priorities – the reform of the Tax Administration, the development and the growth of the economy, the further privatization and the restructuring of public enterprises and capital investments.
Linda Van Gelder praised the financial results Serbia had achieved and pointed out that the preparation of the plan of economic development for Serbia was in progress, adding that it will contain guidelines for the future development, while taking into consideration the goals of the Government of Serbia.
As she explained, this entails an in-depth analysis, which will specially emphasize the fields with a great potential, in which the Serbian economy can develop considerably.
The document was assessed as important at the meeting, being able to aid the further development of the Serbian economy.
