Consortium "Delta-Zekstra" failed to pay money for "Boska" – second, extended deadline expired
The workers of Banja Luka-based Department store "Boska" closed
that facility on March 27th and went on general strike because
Belgrade-based consortium "Delta-Zekstra" failed to pay 3m EUR for
the majority state-owned share in that company prior to the given deadline.
The workers have not received 22 salaries and accompanying bonuses and
allowances for social and pension insurance.
The workers of "Boska" asked for the meeting with the Prime Minister
of Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in order to find the solutions to their
problems.
The second, extended deadline, prior to which consortium “Delta-Zekstra” was
supposed to pay the money for procurement of the state-owned capital in
“Boska”, expired yesterday.
The consortium first asked the Government of RS to extend the payment deadline
until February 28th, and then it asked for extension until March 26th.
The Minister of Trade of RS, Predrag Gluhaković, said that he had not received
the answer from consortium "Delta-Zekstra" to the question if the
money for the takeover of “Boska” had been paid, and he added that he had sent
the letter to that consortium on March 26th and asked for urgent
reply.
Consortium "Delta-Zekstra" signed the contract on procurement of state-owned capital in Department store “Boska” at the price of 3m EUR in October 2008, and it also promised to settle 5m KM (2.5m EUR) worth of tax obligations of the company.
