Construction of collector worth EUR 2.6 million begins in Vranjska Banja

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction Zorana Mihajlovic attended the beginning of the construction of a fecal waste water collector in Vranjska Banja, worth EUR 2.6 million, yesterday, and the deadline for the completion of the works is September 15, 2019.

During her visit to the Pcinja District, Mihajlovic pointed out that projects worth EUR 30 million were being realized in Vranje and that around 3,000 people had been employed in the previous years, as well as that the state's goal was to have people live better in Serbia's south too.

As she said, EUR 7 million has been invested in water supply in Vranje and its area.

The collector in Vranjska Banja will be 7,763 meters long. Three collectors have already been built in Vranje, and the beginning of the construction of this, the fourth one, marks the beginning of the realization of the second phase of the project, which is to be followed by the construction of a waste water treatment plant in Vranje,


The German development bank KfW is financing projects for the construction of the waste water treatment facility and the construction of the collector in Vranjska Banja with EUR 14.3 million.
