The State Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia, Tatjana Matic, talked to representatives of Alibaba about the further cooperation in online tourism and electronic trade and payments in Hanzhou.

As reported on the official website of the Serbian government, it was agreed at the meeting at the company's seat with Alibaba Vice President Helen Xu and the company's team for Europe to finalize all the plans aiming to establish the electronic payment platform Alipay in the Serbian market and to promote the tourism of Serbia in the market of China.

As expected, Alibaba's platform Fliggy would considerably contribute to promoting Serbia as a destination, but also facilitate the arrival of numerous tourists from China to Serbia.

This platform of the Chinese digital economy giant is especially important for the fact that the number of Chinese tourists has grown by 180.8% compared to 2018, whereas the growth in the first half of the current year, compared to the same period last year, amounts to 97.4%, the government's website reports.
