Fiat 601 being prepared in Kragujevac?
At the moment, we have no reason to doubt that Fiat will stay Serbia, stated Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic. She pointed out that the state worked on it and that she would have a meeting with the management of Fiat during the week.
– We are in constant communication, I`ve asked for a session of the company`s Supervisory Board to be held soon in order to see what the plans are like on that level – Brnabic said when asked by the press whether a new agreement with Fiat Kragujevac could be expected.
She pointed out that she expected Fiat`s future in Serbia to be secure and that no one should be worried about Kragujevac, as it is faring much better than only a year ago thanks to the new investments.
The factory`s facilities are already preparing for the serial production of the hybrid 550-L model.
As the daily writes, it is likely that, in addition to 550-L, the plan and the agreement also include a whole new car model which could start being produced as soon as the second half of 2019. The unofficial working tag of this vehicle is 601.
Let us remind that the agreement with Fiat expires on September 29, 2018.
