Gorenje to move production of all refrigerators from Velenje to Valjevo on January 1, 2019
– With Hisense Group as the majority owner we expect to expand our production capacities with additional million refrigerators made which will create an opportunity to employ 200-300 new workers, our sources inn the company said.
With Hisens we also expect to enter new markets, access new distribution channel and to stimulate the development of the new production portfolio.
According to the sources in Gorenje, when it comes to the plant in Stara Pazova, the production is suspended for the time being and the new company-level agreement with the workers.
– What is important to say right now is that we signed the Protocol on company-level agreements with both trade unions. Negotiations a re still in progress and we will have more details about what we agreed on by the end of the year. Of course, our intention is to come to mutually acceptable terms through these negotiations.
Gorenje hired additional 80 workers because of the increased workload that are employed for seasonal work for the next six to nine months.
