- Ukrainian company "Lvivski avtobusni zavody" is the only bidder on the tender for takeover of 86.5% of capital of Priboj-based FAP – the Director of that factory, Mirko Stojović, said today (March 2, 2009).

He said to the press that "Lvivski avtobusni zavody" was owned by Russian businessman Igor Čurkin.

Stojović said that there was possibility that the financial group from Russia - "Edelvais investment" – had sent the bid for FAP by mail, so that it should be expected in few days.

According to the data provided by the Privatization Agency, the deadline for submission of bids on the tender for FAP expired on Friday, February 27th.

The Director of FAP said that the Ukrainians intended to expand the product portfolio by introducing trucks, and they were also interested in taking part with FAP in refurbishment of trolleybuses in Belgrade.

Company "Lvivski avtobusni zavody" has already expressed interest in procurement of three related factories in Serbia - "Prva petoletka" in Trstenik, Kruševac-based "14. oktobar" and Priboj-based FAP.

After thorough analysis, the people in the company estimated that aforementioned three factories in Serbia could be organized and prepared for continuation of production, and the Ukrainians find them interesting because their product portfolios are complementary.

FAP currently has about 1,500 employees.
