31st International Tourism Fair opened in Belgrade

International Tourism Fair has started today (February, 26th, 2009) at the Belgrade fair, with 830 participants from 38 countries.

Serbian Minister of economy, Mladjan Dinkic had the honour to open this manifestation and on this occassion he stated that he was expecting this year one billion dollars from tourism profit.

Mr.Dinkic also mentioned that the world economical crisis would not influence tourism, as people would want to travel at the time of the crisis and spend more time with their families.

Country partner at 31st International Tourism Fair in Belgrade is Tunisia, and Istra is this year's region partner.

The fair takes place on 15.000 square meters, and for the first time Lybia and Syria will be presenting their offers, while Austria's, Tailand's and Brasil's tour operators have come in organization of the countries.

For the first time Split's Chamber of commerce is participating with 17 exhibitors.

It was announced that the largest tourist agencies from Serbia would be giving 5-10% discount during the fair.

Tourism fair will be opened until March, 1st, and ticket price is 300 dinars, while parking is charged 80 dinars per hour.
