Replacement of old vehicles for the new "punto" - recycling licences by middle March
One of the measures within favorable loan packages, for getting out of the crisis, is replacement of old vehicles for the new "punto". Ministry of ecology will be issuing licences by middle March to all companies which will be doing recylcing of old vehicles.
Even tough it was mentioned that vehicles which were not in driving condition could also go as waste, it was finally agreed that vehicles must have all parts, must be registered and could not undergo under euro 3 standard.
After obtaining the licences for fullfillment of ecological standards, all vehicles will be pressed and cut and out of the companies will be delivered to the cement and iron factories.
The companies which buy off old iron pay 8 dinars per kilogram. For example, "yugo", of around 300 kg in weight, without plastic and other non metal parts, can be sold for 2.400 dinars. Therefore, the state's offer of 1.000 euros per a recycled vehicle is more than great. Even if the owner of the old vehicle can not afford to take the loan, he can sell the unused vehicle to someone who can make it up through the program of replacing old for new.
