The construction of a dairy and the logistics center of the agricultural mechanization importer Kite d.o.o. has begun at the Backa Topola industrial zone.
RSD 100 million from the municipal and the provincial budget was put in the development of the industrial zone, which takes up 25 hectares and is located 1.5 km away from the E75 highway. The works began two years ago, and the water supply and sewer system were fully completed this year.
– The construction of roads and the dairy, as well as the logistics center of Kite d.o.o. has begun. Once it is completed, the dairy will provide jobs for 30 workers and another 30 suppliers – announces Sasa Srdic, the president of the Municipality of Backa Topola.
This is just the beginning. Five parcels have been sold so far and there are plenty of interested investors. The local self-government can't create jobs, but it has been intensively working for the past two years on creating the most favorable conditions for the arrival of investors.
Two parcels were sold to foreign investors and three were sold to local ones. Two are being built at the moment, and another one is expected to start working this year. Around a hundred new jobs are expected to be created in the industrial zone next year.
At the same time, two kilometers of the road are being built in order to facilitate the supply with raw materials. The construction of a substation, which will cost RSD 7.5 million, is being planned as well, whereby the infrastructure for the eight new parcels will be fully secured.
