New heating plant to be built in Senta – Municipal budget rebalance also entails development of roads, healthcare center and gymnasium
The total municipal income amounts to RSD 987.92 million, of which the operating income is RSD 879.7 million, the retained profit carried forward amounts to RSD 77 million, and income from other sources amounts to RSD 28.5 million, Dnevnik reports. The influx of capital investments that are being realized or are yet to be has been secured with considerable financial support from the state budget.
In addition to the planned capital investments related to the projects of adaptation of the Healthcare Center and the Senta Gymnasium, the budget has been increased to include the funds meant for the construction of a new heating plant in Senta in the amount of RSD 218.7 million. The old heating plant was part of the sugar plant, which meant that central heating depended on the operations of the company, which often changed owners and the market position.
The amount of RSD 200 million in grants for the construction of the new heating plant, which will provide central heating in Senta has been secured by the state’s Office, whereas the remaining amount was provided from the municipal budget.
The budget rebalance also entails funds for the construction of traffic lanes in Bastenska and Cuka Zoltana streets in the amount of RSD 30.5 million. The Capital Investments Directorate of Vojvodina has provided grants for this project, and the amount of RSD 6.5 million comes from the municipality’s own budget. RSD 15.2 million has been provided for the development of village roads, of which slightly over RSD 5 million comes as a grant from the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
Reconstruction of Healthcare Center and Gymnasium
The project of adaptation and energy development of the Healthcare Center in Senta amounts to RSD 36.45 million and is funded by the Public Investment Management Office of the Government of Serbia. Another capital investment is the adaptation and development of the Senta Gymnasium, worth RSD 192 million, of which RSD 186.7 million is provided by the government’s Office, whereas the remaining amount comes from the municipality’s own funds.
