About 6 billion RSD, out of total of 16.1 billion RSD that the Directorate for Building Land obtained from the city budget, will be spent on paving of roads, while over 3 billion RSD will be set aside for introduction of sewerage systems in, first of all, suburban settlements.

What is new is that as much as 1.2 billion RSD will be invested in enlargement of the capacities of cemeteries Lešće, Orlovača, Bežanijska Kosa, as well as suburban cemeteries in Lazarevac and Mladenovac.

The Directorate’s programme anticipates equal distribution of funds for the programmes of former suburban boroughs, which will be encompassed by the unique system starting this year. The people in the Directorate point out that the suburban boroughs will benefit the most because significant funds will be invested in improvement of their infrastructure. Last year, their incomes were 10 times smaller than their real needs.

Boris Ranković, the CEO of the Directorate, says that the plans are very ambitious and optimistic, and that the Directorate will do its best to fulfill them in spite of the crisis. Major share of the funds will be spent on reconstruction of existing roads, while about 2 billion RSD will be invested in works on completion of Savska Street, Vojvođanska Street and Jurija Gagarina Street.

- According to the plan, 700m RSD is set aside for roads in suburban boroughs, while 480m RSD will be invested in preparation works. Remaining 20m RSD will be spent on solutions to the public utility and infrastructural problems – the people from the Directorate pointed out.

The people in the Directorate say that the plan is optimistic, especially when it comes to about 3 billion RSD worth of investments in sewerage network in, primarily, suburban settlements.

- Total of 800m RSD will be spent on construction of new facilities in Krnjača, Mladenovac, Lazarevac, Obrenovac and Sopot, while the next priority is the project for activation of main feces sewers on the Pančevo road. The preparations for commencement of construction of main sewers in Borča, Krnjača and Kotež will cost 500m RSD – the people in the Directorate explained.
