Do you know what the most common smartphone myths are? If not, it's time you found out, Geek.hr reports.

Black background protects your battery

Batteries last longer if less light is used – in LED devices. This pertains to devices with LED, AMOLED and Super AMOLED screens. It's not true of LCD screens, which drain batteries even when using black. Still, LCD devices at least display darker colors with more quality. The myth is, then, half-true, Geek.hr reports.

Charging a 100% full battery causes the phone to malfunction

Smartphones are capable of responding to an excessive input of power. When the battery is 100% full, it sends signals to the phone, causing it to automatically stop the charging. There is no such thing as overcharging. These myths make no sense.

Only the charger that came with the phone must be used

You can use any charger compatible with your smartphone. Of course, some chargers are better and quicker than others.

Better list of features means better performance

The fact is that smartphones with excellent features in theory sometimes perform sub-optimally in tests. That's why all the aspects need to be taken into consideration when buying a smartphone, just like with any other similar device.

Resetting to factory settings deletes all your data

Resetting your phone to factory settings will indeed result in the data being deleted. However, they can be brought back without much trouble by browsing the web for relevant info. On the other hand, if you intend to sell or give your phone to someone and you fear that the new user will be able to see your data, simply protect everything on your smartphone with passwords, Geek.hr advises.
