Badotextile to initiate production in Topola in October 2018 – Reconstruction of former Rudnik facility to start in August

The French-owned, Belgrade-based company Badotextile signed an agreement on the acquisition of the clothes manufacture facility Rudnik in Topola on July 12, 2018, the local self-government confirmed for our portal. The facility was sold for RSD 23,500,000.

– Bado has already prepared the preliminary project for the reconstruction of the factory, which will start on August 1, and this will be the most modern facility in its field, featuring air-conditioning and new locker rooms, allowing workers to enjoy all the benefits of European standards. The plan is for the reconstruction to be completed by October 1 at the latest and for the workers to start with their jobs and for the production to start by October 10 – the president of the Municipality of Topola, Dragan Jovanovic, told Top Press.

Jovanovic said that the plan was for 120 to 150 workers to be employed initially.

A factory in Nis is currently working per order for the new owner, until the production in Topola starts, he added.

– We have obliged as a municipality to help with the obtaining of the permits in the shortest amount of time possible. The payment of the sales price to the account of the bankruptcy supervisor creates the conditions for the repayment of late salaries to former workers who have had enforceable court decisions made in their favor – Jovanovic added.
